Pedrick Yacht Designs has, adding Stealth style to the company's breakthrough expertise in high-performance motorsailing. The Pedrick Next Express 35-meter (115-ft LOA) harnesses more than 5,000 horsepower to an efficient, modern sailing yacht design for a 25-knot motoring speed or aggressively fast sailing when powered by the wind. The Next Express 35m combines modern styling and spacious arrangement in a truly 21st century yacht. The main deck accommodation is completely open from the afterdeck to the wheelhouse, which can be enclosed by a moveable partition for privacy or night operation. The house roof has large opening panels over the wheelhouse and lounge salon to let the outdoors in. Living space connects to the outdoors, as well, by a wide boarding and swim platform at the transom. A central stairway leads to the midships cabin deck, where there are three staterooms plus an owner's study. Each owner/guest stateroom has a queen berth. The study, with a convertible sofa and day head, can be turned into a fourth guest cabin. Crew accommodations forward include three cabins for six crew plus galley, lounge and laundry. The engine room is aft, using large 12-cylinder diesels driving controllable pitch propellers on external shafts through a V-drive. The keel and rudders raise dagger-style to suit the needs of sailing and motoring, as well as to enable access to shallow harbors and anchorages.
